Healing our Soul, Healing our Nation Part 2 (Episode 14)
Have you ever thought about what we should do to help our nation heal? Are we as divided as the media would like us to think? Find out what people across this great and vast country said when asked this simple question: “What one or two things might bring our divided country together for the common good?” In this episode author and speaker Robynne Miller joins me. We will tell you what we think and highlight Marilyn Siden’s journey – an 82-year-old woman who slipped into her Subaru (after slipping into her Birkenstocks) and traveled across the entire country in search of answers from everyday people like you. Very few of the answers involved getting ‘better’ people in Washington, D.C. Her journey is encapsulated in the book-which I have the awesome pleasure of narrating for Audible and other audiobook distributers- “Finding Common Ground-One Octogenarian’s Quest to Help our Nation Heal.” From dealing with rudeness, to bringing back music, to planting flowers, the answers will inspire and amaze you. Please listen and share this episode, and let us know what you think we should do to help our nation heal.

Healing our Soul, Healing our Nation Part 1 (Episode 13)
In this packed episode I'm joined by author and speaker Robynne Elizabeth Miller who shares her powerful story of surviving extreme childhood abuse and trauma; and how she found the strength to overcome. She will share some of the ways she coped during that painful time, and found healing through writing and her favorite television show Little House on the Prairie.
Learn how her relationship with the Lord helped her overcome shame and bonding challenges; and manage childhood triggers. Find out how the enemy uses abuse to attack our identity and what we can do to fight it.
This is just the tip of the iceberg as this show is loaded with powerful stories and helpful advice for you or anyone you know who needs help and encouragement overcoming their painful past.
Robynne also co-wrote the book Finding Common Ground: One Octogenarian's Quest to Help our Nation Heal, an encouraging and practical book about what we can do to bring healing to our country. (Which I'm excited to be narrating for Audible). Part one we talk healing past trauma, and part two we talk healing our nation. Tune in and share!

If you or a friend or family member struggles with addiction, this episode is a must. In this show (and new video format) my husband Aaron joins me for an honest and powerful discussion about the 12 Steps with personal stories of recovery throughout. Between the two of us, we have 33 years of sobriety from drugs and alcohol. We will talk about some of the keys to staying sober. Plus you will learn about the origin of the 12 Steps; what they are; how they work; if they work, and if they are Biblical. Hear about the difference between being powerless versus being helpless. We will also share, through our own personal stories, how step four can bring clarity to your life - and the power of personal accountability to set you free and empower you to lead a victorious life.

** powerful story of recovery, healing, and redemption** In this episode I’m joined by my friend Lisa Michelle who shares her healing journey. Intense childhood abuse and trauma led her to the streets of San Francisco where she felt safer than in her own home. She lived in the heavy metal clubs as a teenager - living the rock n’ roll lifestyle with bands like Poison and Kix. Then…God radically transformed Lisa. Through tremendous hard work and therapy, she began to heal from the pain and intense trauma that haunted her. Now she is the founder of the ministry “No Strings Attached.” They walk alongside women who have been sexually exploited. They bring handmaid gifts to local strip clubs and brothel’s and help women transition out of the sex industry and provide aftercare for sexual trauma. Hear her heartbreaking yet inspirational story. She is a living testimony that no matter how bad our life starts out, God can change our circumstances and anoint our trauma and pain and use it to bring victory and healing to others.
